For mountain operations · ski schools · patrol · race teams · guides

Your crew skis for a living.
Train them like it.

Instructors teach 100-plus days a season. Patrollers pull sleds from the opening bell. Montis gives your departments an eight-week preseason strength block written for their actual job by a Doctor of Physical Therapy — run in your own morning meetings, with no apps or accounts required from your staff.

One department · one season · free pilot · roster in by Sept 1

The problem

The heaviest weeks of the season land on the least prepared legs.

Every mountain knows the November pattern. Nobody has had a program for it that seasonal staff will actually do.

01
Staff arrive in whatever shape summer left them

Returners who guided all summer next to first-years who drove in from a desk job. Same start date, same opening-week workload.

02
Opening weeks are the peak workload of the year

Setup, route work, sled drills, back-to-back lesson blocks on early-season snow. Legs that have not skied since April absorb the hardest stretch first.

03
Early-season callouts hit when you can least afford them

Sore, worn-down staff in December means thin lesson schedules and short patrol benches during the exact weeks demand spikes. Durability work in September is cheaper than coverage gaps in December.

What Montis does

A preseason standard your department can actually run.

01
Pick the block written for the job

Instructor Preseason and Patrol Preseason are eight-week strength builds authored for those workloads — lower-body strength and braking, trunk control, capacity for sled days and long teaching blocks. Race clubs get a dedicated team dryland block. Pick a start date; Montis generates the whole calendar.

02
Your supervisor runs it. Staff scan a QR code.

Two 30-minute group sessions a week, run by whoever already runs your meetings — guided player, written movement cues, timers. Staff log completion and how it felt by scanning a code and tapping their name. No downloads, no accounts, no seat provisioning before day one.

03
In-season, the plan adapts around the skiing

Your crew works on snow six days a week — a static gym program double-loads them and dies by January. When the week runs heavy, Montis lightens what needs lightening and moves what needs moving, and every change comes with a plain-language reason. That honesty is why skeptical 25-year-olds keep doing it.

04
You see the department, never the individual

Your coach-of-record sees roster completion week by week — participation and sessions across the department. Individual logs stay with the athlete. There is nothing here your staff would resent, and nothing your privacy review will flag.

Built for your departments

Not a gym app with a snowflake on it.

8 weeks + in-season
Ski School

Instructor Preseason builds the legs and trunk for 100-plus teaching days; the in-season track maintains them around a full lesson schedule. A perk your hiring letters can name.

8 weeks + in-season
Patrol

Patrol Preseason is built for the job's real demands — sled work, route days, heavy boots, long shifts. In-season maintenance keeps the base without adding to the load.

8-week dryland
Race Teams & Clubs

A team dryland block for alpine and freeride programs — coach runs the group session, athletes log by QR, and the club gets a preseason it can repeat every year.

Season builds
Guide Services

Guides carry the group. Mountain-athlete builds with a full season's progression — strength, capacity, durability — adapted around days in the field.

Who wrote this

Built in Bozeman by a DPT who trains the people you employ.

Ten years of clinical practice. More than 150 ACL reconstructions guided back to sport. Professional skiers trained, ski-specific exercises co-built with the instructors who teach the sport. The programs your departments would run were written by someone who spends every winter working on patrollers and instructors — and every summer in these mountains.

Deterministic, not black-box: training decisions follow visible rules, and every change shows its reasoning. Your directors can read exactly why a session changed.

Staff coming back from ACL reconstruction? ACL Bridge is the clinician-led return-to-sport track — progression gated by measured limb symmetry. Separate product, same Bozeman clinic.

The pilot

One department. One season. Free.

We are running a small number of pilots this preseason, configured personally. Here is the whole deal:

Your side

One department — patrol or ski school, 15–50 staff. Roster in by September 1. One supervisor runs two 30-minute group sessions a week. An honest end-of-season debrief on how it went.

Our side

Eddie configures everything — the block, the calendar, the QR codes — and checks in monthly. Every participating staff member also gets a full individual Montis seat for the season. Cost to your mountain: nothing, season one.

If it works, we write it up together and talk about a per-seat season rate for a wider rollout. If it does not, you spent a few emails.
